Technical, commercial and logistical answers to help you understand our process and how we work at EDS.
No. EDS operates as a technical intermediary and supply chain specialist. We work with a qualified network of manufacturers to deliver engineered components according to project needs.
Yes. All parts can be delivered with appropriate documentation, including EN 10204 3.1 certificates, dimensional reports, and material specifications. Depending on the request, additional certificates such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or PED can be provided via our certified partners. Full traceability can be ensured on request.
Yes. Our office in the Netherlands is open for visits. You’re welcome to meet our technical team to discuss project feasibility, engineering solutions, and supply chain options.
We work with a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including ductile iron (GJS-500-7, EN-GJS-HB155), carbon steels, stainless steels (304, 316, Duplex), aluminium alloys, copper-based alloys, and others. Special alloys (Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy) can be requested for advanced applications.
We offer sand casting, investment casting (water glass and silica sol), shell moulding, high-pressure and gravity die casting, lost foam, and sintering. In forging, we support closed die, open die, rolled rings, cold forging and multi-directional forging. Visit our Casting Matrix for full comparison.
Lead times depend on the complexity, quantity, and method. Standard projects range from 5 to 12 weeks. Tooling development or surface treatments may add extra time. Express options may be available.
Yes. For certain processes like sand casting or additive-based cores, we can supply small batches or even one-off prototypes. Investment casting is also suitable for low to medium volumes with competitive costs.
MOQs vary by process: investment casting usually starts at 50–100 pcs, high-pressure die casting at 1000 pcs, sand casting and forging methods are more flexible. We help select the optimal method for your volume.
Yes. Machining is available as part of the full-service package. Tolerances and surface finishes can be discussed during the technical review. We also offer CNC, threading, milling, and custom jigs if needed.
Yes. We can provide galvanization (white/yellow zinc, hot-dip), powder coating, shot blasting, painting, phosphating and other industrial finishes. Surface roughness requirements can be discussed per application.
Each supplier is audited and pre-approved by our team. Dimensional checks, process control, material verification and final inspections are part of our workflow. Reports and photos can be submitted at each step.
Yes. We manage all logistics: EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP or delivery to our warehouse in the Netherlands. We handle customs, tracking, and consolidation when necessary.
We offer warranty and resolution procedures. Upon receiving photographic evidence or dimensional reports, we analyze root cause with the factory and offer replacement or corrective action if applicable.
Yes. We encourage customers to share 2D and 3D CAD files (STEP, STL, IGES, etc.), material specs, standards and tolerances. Our team performs a feasibility and cost analysis before proceeding.
